Once upon a time.... Snow White fell in love with Price Charming and they live happily ever after. bla, bla, bla... Heheh... Just kidding...

Actually Once Upon A Time is a tv-series about all the characters from the famous fairy tales. 

The main characters are Snow White and of course Prince Charming... There are also The Evil Queen, 7 dwarfs, Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, Pinnochio etc...

Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, writers of Lost, have created a modern take on fairy tales with a female lead character, Emma Swan, who has moved to Maine. The show revolves around the adaptation of fairytale characters such as Snow White and Prince Charming who have been brought into the real world with no knowledge of their true identities, due to the Evil Queen, who cast an evil spell on the entire land.

It is such an interesting story that I got addicted to it. Since dad got the Astro HD pack, I get to record the series and watch it at any time.

It's not the typical princess-in-danger and prince-came-to-the-rescue kinda series. In this series, the female characters save themselves (except in one or two occasions...) The female characters got to be heroes of the day... Ho yeah!! You go girl!! I love how the writers twist the fairy tales and somewhat connect them together... It was such a joy to watch something different then the original ending. After each episode I ended up wanting to know what will happen to Snow White. (nope, Snow White is not weak in this series. She can fight and she's good at it. No need to wait for Charming...)

Who's holding the sword now, huh? hahaha!!

The series divided between the real world and the magic world (fairy tale world). The evil queen put a curse where everyone is sent to a land without magic (the real world) and forget about their original self. The only who can break the curse is Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter, Emma Swan. If Emma breaks the curse, everyone will remember who the really are. The problem is Emma didn't believe in magic and his son (under the care of The Evil Queen / Regina) must find a way to make her believe and break the curse.

It is so twisted and I LOVE it!! And if you like a story where the females save the day, this is a MUST watch TV-series... And if you are a feminist, go and WATCH this!

Now, I cannot wait for season 2...
